Deskripsi Buku : First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude to God Almighty for His blessings and grace, which have made it possible to complete this book entitled From Facts to Knowledge: Literal Reading. This book is written as an effort to provide a deeper understanding of the concept of literal reading, which is the ability to read and comprehend texts directly according to the explicit meaning of the words, without additional interpretation. In today’s information era, accurate reading skills have become extremely important, especially when dealing with various types of texts and sources. From Facts to Knowledge: Literal Reading aims to help readers sharpen their ability to capture information clearly and precisely from the text, which serves as the fundamental basis for learning and effective communication. Through this book, readers are expected to understand the techniques and strategies of literal reading, as well as recognize the difference between literal reading and inferential or interpretative reading. The book also includes practical examples that can be used as exercises to improve reading skills effectively. I acknowledge that this book is still far from perfect and has its limitations. Therefore, I sincerely welcome constructive criticism and suggestions for the improvement of this book in the future. It is my hope that From Facts to Knowledge: Literal Reading will provide benefits and become a useful reference for readers, including students, teachers, and anyone who wishes to enhance their reading abilities. Finally, I would like to thank all those who have contributed their support and assistance in the completion of this book. May this book serve as a stepping stone in our journey to improve literacy skills together.
